Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy, LLP is investigating an antitrust conspiracy to restrict the hiring and recruiting of engineers and other skilled laborers in the aerospace engineering services industry.
The United States Department of Justice recently charged Mahesh Patel, a former director of global engineering services at Pratt & Whitney, a subsidiary of Raytheon Technologies Corporation, for engaging in an eight-year conspiracy with managers and executives of five other outsource engineering suppliers: Agilis Engineering, Inc., Belcan Engineering Group, LLC, Cyient, Inc., Parametric Solutions, Inc., and Quest Global Services-NA, Inc. As part of the conspiracy, they agreed not to hire or recruit each other’s engineers or other skilled laborers from 2011 to 2019. “No-poach” agreements limit the mobility of workers, suppress their wages, and destroy labor competition.
