McCarthy and Berger were honored with the CLAY Award under the category of False Claims for securing the largest False Claims Act recovery in California history: over $300 million in settlements, including a $241 million settlement from the largest provider of medical laboratory testing for the state’s Medi-Cal program. California Lawyer in 2012 recognized attorneys in 20 areas of legal practice for 26 accomplishments that made a significant impact in 2011.
