The United States Department of Justice has referred to the automotive parts price-fixing conspiracy as the largest criminal antitrust conspiracy it has ever seen, particularly in terms of its impact on American businesses and consumers. CPM is Interim Co-Lead Counsel for the American consumers and businesses who were hurt by this conspiracy.

On April 2, 2015, CPM announced its most recent settlement in this case with auto part maker Hitachi. This follows a recently announced settlement with auto part maker Panasonic. With these settlements, CPM and its co-counsel have now recovered over $170 million on behalf of American consumers and businesses. The settlements to date represent only a fraction of the defendants. We continue to fight hard on behalf of our clients, and expect to announce additional settlements.

The case is: In re Automotive Parts Antitrust Litigation, Master File No. 12-md-02311 (E.D. Mich.).
