CPM’s Adam Zapala and Christian Ruano helped obtain an over $1 billion judgment after a three-day trial on damages on behalf of direct purchasers who purchased price-fixed CRTs. From May 19, 2025 to May 21, 2025, Adam Zapala and team tried the damages portion of the case against the sole remaining Defendant, Irico. The case was tried before United States District Court Judge Jon S. Tigar. On March 11, 2026, Judge Tigar issued his decision, rejecting the Defendant’s expert, crediting the direct purchaser plaintiffs’ expert, and finding over $1 billion in damages. Adam Zapala from CPM handled the cross examination of the defense expert and other matters in the litigation.
