Have you received notice from your Healthcare provider that your private information may have been compromised in a data breach? You may be entitled to compensation from a class action lawsuit.

Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy is investigating a massive data breach involving highly sensitive Personal Health Information stored by Pacific Healthworks or its sister company, La Perouse. Headquartered in the Southern California city of El Segundo, the healthcare organization provides management services to over 70 operating entities, 1,200 medical clinics, physician groups, and hospitals, servicing over 1.4 million patients annually, according to its website.

On August 9, 2025, the ransomware gang Everest posted on its victim blog that Pacific Healthworks and La Perouse had been breached. The hackers claimed that the billing and personal data of more than 50 clients of Pacific Healthworks and La Perouse were affected. Hundreds of file samples posted by the hackers revealed that breached records include names, social security numbers, dates of birth, address, email, home phone cell phone, gender, race, marital status, health insurance information, Medicare/Medicaid numbers, medical record numbers, physicians’ names, diagnoses, test results, medical images, treatment information, and other patient care information.

While at least 50, and perhaps hundreds of medical providers’ patient and employee records may be included, leaked files included information at least relating to patients and employees of:
