Overview

Cecilia J. Meyer, often known as Cecile, is the Chief Financial Officer at Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy (CPM). She joined CPM in 2004 and has been with the firm for 16 years.

Cecile is responsible for the firm’s overall finance and accounting operations including treasury, partnership distributions, tax preparation, internal and external audit functions. She also administers multiple Qualified Settlement Fund accounts held in the firm’s name. In addition, Cecile is the 401(k) Plan Administrator responsible for monitoring compliance and all 401(k) transactions, loans and distributions.

In her multi-faceted role within CPM, Cecile’s constant objective is to meet expectations of the firm’s Partners and provide extensive support in their pursuit of justice for all its clients.

Prior to CPM - a plaintiff law firm, Cecile had diverse legal finance experience at Morrison & Foerster based in San Francisco and McDermott, Will & Emery of Palo Alto, both defense law firms in the Bay Area. Cecile has been in Legal Finance for over 20 years.

Cecile graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management with a Minor in Management Information Systems. She enhanced her skill set by getting certified as a Client-Server Programmer. Cecile worked as a software engineer, where she developed and released a user interface software for a small airline company based in New York City - but her passion has always been in legal finance.

In high school, Cecile was a recipient of the honorable Gerry Roxas Leadership Award in her graduating class as the Senior Class Student Council Representative.

Cecile enjoys volunteering in her community. She is a past President and Chairman of the Board of the Filipino-American Junior Chamber of Commerce in Daly City, CA where she was an active member from 1991 – 1998.

Cecile speaks English and Filipino (Tagalog) fluently. She and her husband Corby are fans of the SF Giants and Golden State Warriors. Their happy place on earth is no other than the island of Oahu (or any other Hawaiian islands for that matter). She enjoys hiking and playing golf with her husband. Although not an expert, Cecile loves singing and playing the piano.
