Litigation Attorney

JOB DESCRIPTION

Cotchett, Pitre, & McCarthy, is seeking a full-time Litigation Attorney with at least 3-5 years of experience to work with the Personal Injury, Mass Torts, and Consumer Class Action practice group. The attorney will focus on research and writing but will also be expected to assist our team with all phases of litigation including drafting of pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation. Experience drafting and responding to discovery and pre-trial motions, including discovery motions, motions for summary judgment, demurrers/motions to dismiss, and motions in limine in California and Federal Courts is required. This is a full-time position. Hybrid work may be available depending on the candidate’s ability to adapt to the workload of the firm. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, is expected to work independently and as part of a team and will have a passion for helping clients find justice and compensation for their injuries.

QUALIFICATIONS

Outstanding research and writing skills
Judicial clerkship experience is preferred, but not required
D. from an accredited law school and current good standing with the California State Bar
3-5 years of law and motion experience required
Detail-oriented with excellent writing, communication, and case analysis abilities
Aware of current events and developments in Federal and California law
Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment
Must be able to draft various pre- and post-trial including Motions for Summary Judgment, Demurrers, Motions to Strike, Kelly/Frye or Daubert motions, various discovery motions.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$150,000 base salary + annual performance based bonus; base salary will be adjusted commensurate to experience
Paid vacation and sick time

Whistleblower and Consumer Protection Class Action Litigation Associate (San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle - potential for some remote work)

WHISTLEBLOWER / CONSUMER PROTECTION CLASS ACTIONS LITIGATION ASSOCIATE – SAN FRANCISCO, SEATTLE. Cotchett, Pitre, & McCarthy seeks associates (3-10 years’ experience) for its San Francisco Bay Area office to immediately join its whistleblower and consumer protection class actions practice groups.

Salary Range = $10,000 to $15,000 per month, with Bonus opportunity, depending on experience level.
