McCloskey Honored by The National Audubon Society for Environmental Leadership
On January 21, 2016, Pete N. McCloskey, Jr. was honored by The National Audubon Society for Environmental Leadership in New York. McCloskey, a Stanford Law graduate is a recipient of the Navy Cross, the Silver Star and two Purple Hearts while a U.S. Marine Officer in Korea. He is one of the country’s great trial lawyers and continues to lead from the front on the environment. In 1970, he served as the Co-Chair of the first Earth Day that launched the environmental movement. McCloskey leads the charge on climate change, oil drilling and pollution.
