Sam Gutin is an Associate at Cotchett, Pitre, & McCarthy LLP. Before joining the firm, Sam was an Attorney Advisor to the Honorable Evan Nordby, at the Department of Labor’s Office of Administrative Law Judges in San Francisco, California. There, he worked closely with Judge Nordby on issues related to whistleblower retaliation, workers’ compensation, and immigration.
Sam Earned his J.D. From University of California, Hastings College of the Law. During law school, Sam was involved in the Startup Legal Garage, Hasting’s Workers’ Rights Clinic, and Hasting’s Mediation Clinic. His experience included mediating claims at the Small Claims Court of San Francisco, advising low income clients on employment and labor issues, and working with early-stage companies. He was also the President of Hasting’s Jewish Law Student Association. Sam Attended the University of Oregon for his undergrad and is an avid Duck fan. In his spare time, he enjoys hosting and playing in open-mic nights, collecting books, hiking and biking.
