On Saturday, July 31, 2010, Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy attorneys, paralegals, law clerks and staff participated alongside 390 volunteers from the City of Daly City, KaBOOM!, the Foresters and the Mid-Peninsula Boys & Girls Club (MPBGC) to build a “playground in a day” which benefitted the MPBGC’s Bayshore Heights club location. KaBOOM!, a national non-profit, is dedicated to saving play for America's children. Their mission is to create a great, safe, place to play within walking distance of every child in America. The CP&M team this year was headed up by senior paralegal and MPBGC board of director member, Darren Kelley, attorneys Justin Berger and Neil Swartzberg, case assistant, Mallory Barr, administrative assistant, Rey Tanada and summer law clerk, Kyle Morishita.

Through CP&M efforts, MPBGC were recipients to a Cy Pres award of $37,000 in 2009.
