Aron Liang is a principal at Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy, where he focuses on antitrust, securities, general business and environmental litigation. A graduate of the University of Washington, he received his Juris Doctorate magna cum laude from the University of California Hastings School of Law.
Mr. Liang is a member of the Thurston Honor Society and the Order of the Coif, a national honor society.
He is a member of the San Mateo County Bar Association.
Recently, Mr. Liang successfully represented the Araneta family in a long-running international business dispute with another Phillippines business entity. He has also successfully represented public entities such as the California State Teachers’ Retirement System and the Regents of the University of California in prosecuting complex securities litigation resulting from the accounting scandals at America Online and WorldCom, obtaining substantial recoveries for these entities. Mr. Liang has also served as litigation counsel for businesses and individuals in environmental litigation involving solvent and oil contamination throughout Northern California. Most recently, he represented homeowners in San Luis Obispo whose residences contained legacy contamination.
